# How to Sell Bitcoin to Your Bank Account

Sell bitcoin from your personal wallet and receive USD in your linked bank account.

## Start your sale

1. Sign in to your Bitcoin Well account.

2. Select **Sell bitcoin** from the sidebar.

3. Select the **USD amount** field and enter the amount you want to sell. The BTC amount updates automatically.

|| This example uses **$2.10 USD**, the minimum shown in the app. Minimums and transaction limits can change, so always follow the current values displayed in your account.

4. Under **Destination bank**, select the linked bank account that should receive the USD.

| Don’t see your bank? Open **Account**, then select **Banks** to connect or reconnect a bank account before returning to the Sell page.

## Send bitcoin from your wallet

5. Under **Scan or Tap**, scan the QR code with your personal wallet or copy the displayed **Bitcoin Well Sell Address**.

6. In your personal wallet, enter the exact BTC amount shown by Bitcoin Well.

7. Verify the complete Bitcoin address and BTC amount in your wallet.

8. Approve the transaction from your wallet.

||| Send only bitcoin over the Bitcoin network to your Bitcoin Well Sell Address. Sending another asset or using an incompatible network can result in permanent loss.

## Save your reusable Sell Address

9. To store the address in your wallet for future sales, select **Save this address to sell bitcoin without logging in**.

| Your Bitcoin Well Sell Address is reusable. Future bitcoin sent to this address is sold and paid to the destination bank associated with your account.

|| Save the reusable address with a recognizable label, such as **Bitcoin Well Sell**, so you can identify it later.

## Confirm the completed sale

10. After sending bitcoin, open **Activity** from the sidebar. When Bitcoin Well has finished processing the transaction, the sale appears under **Completed**.

The completed entry shows both the USD proceeds and the bitcoin amount sold. Bitcoin Well sends the USD to the destination bank selected for the sale. Your bank may need additional time to post the deposit.

|| If the sale is still processing, continue to monitor **Activity**. Processing time can vary while Bitcoin Well waits for the bitcoin transaction and completes the payout.

| The **Activity** page keeps a record of the completed sale so you can review the date, USD proceeds, and bitcoin amount later.

||| Bitcoin transactions cannot be reversed. Before sending, verify the exact BTC amount, complete Bitcoin address, and destination bank.
