Bitcoin Well equips its customers with the tools and knowledge to fully live on a bitcoin standard and take control of their bitcoin to enable maximum independence.
Log in to Bitcoin Well and navigate to Pay bills.
Click Add payee to add your bill
3. Add your payee details
Pay for your bill via On-chain bitcoin
Select your payee then enter the dollar amount
Select On-chain then Review
The bitcoin amount and sending address will be displayed in the next window. Open your bitcoin wallet, select Send, then scan the QR code. You can also copy the bitcoin amount and receiving address.
The rate will be held for 5 minutes. To ensure the exact CAD amount is applied to your bill, please double-check that the BTC amount you send matches the amount shown. Note that this amount does not include the mining fee charged by your bitcoin wallet.
5. Before sending, confirm that your bitcoin wallet’s network fee (mining fee) is set high enough for your transaction to be included in the next mempool block. Most wallets allow you to view or adjust the fee—choose a priority or “fast” option to avoid delays or failed payments.
Note: It takes 3 days for your payment to be processed by the banks, so send the bitcoin at least 3 business days before the bill's payment deadline.
Pay for your bill via the Lightning Network
Select your payee then enter the dollar amount
Select Lightning then Review
The bitcoin amount and sending address will be displayed in the next window. Open your lightning wallet, select Send, then scan the QR code. This is your lightning invoice. You can also copy the sats amount and receiving address.
Note:
Your Lightning payment will be received lightning fast, however the ultraslow processing times of the traditional financial world mean it'll take 3 business days for your payment to be processed by the banks
Send your payment at least 3 business days before the bill's payment deadline.
