How to Buy Bitcoin with your Bank Account via ACH

Buy bitcoin with USD and send it directly to a Bitcoin wallet you control.


Start your purchase


  1. Sign in to your Bitcoin Well account.


  1. Select Buy bitcoin from the sidebar or dashboard.

  1. Select the USD amount field and enter the amount you want to spend. The estimated BTC amount updates automatically.

This example uses the $2.10 USD minimum shown in the app. Minimums and transaction limits can change, so always follow the current values displayed in your account.


  1. Under Payment method, choose your Bitcoin Well account balance, a connected bank account, or Connect bank account.

  1. Under Destination, select the saved Bitcoin wallet that should receive your purchase. Select Add wallet if you need to add a new destination first.

Bitcoin transactions cannot be reversed. Confirm that you selected the correct destination wallet before completing your purchase.


  1. Under Frequency, select One time for a single purchase. You can also choose a recurring schedule and its starting date.

  1. Select Review.

Review your order


Before confirming, review the:


  • USD amount
  • Estimated BTC amount
  • Destination wallet
  • Estimated delivery time
  • Spread and exchange rate
  • Payment source


The review screen displays an estimated delivery time of Instant–10 minutes for this order. The estimate shown for your purchase is the one that applies.


Confirm your purchase


  1. Select Confirm purchase.

  1. Wait for the confirmation message before closing the page.


When the order is accepted, Bitcoin Well displays Congrats! You bought bitcoin!

  1. Select Close to dismiss the confirmation screen.


Check the receiving wallet for your bitcoin. A Bitcoin transaction may appear as pending before it receives confirmations on the network.
