How To Recover Your Account After Losing Access to Two-Factor Authentication

If you can no longer access the two-factor authentication (2FA) method for your account, open a support ticket with Bitcoin Well to begin account recovery.

Use only a verified Bitcoin Well support ticket and its secure upload option when sharing personal information or identity documents.

In your ticket, please provide the following:

  • What is your welltag?
  • Can you share any recent transaction details, such as the amount, date, or transaction ID?
  • Can you provide a recent email from Bitcoin Well, such as a receipt or confirmation?
  • What are the last four digits of the phone number used to register your account?
  • Can you send a selfie of you holding the ID you used to register with us?

Account recovery is not instant. Bitcoin Well must verify your identity before access can be restored.

Never post recovery details or identity documents publicly, and never send them through unsolicited messages, links, or channels. Share only the requested last four digits of your phone number, and submit all recovery information only through your verified support ticket or its secure upload option.

Support may request the information above to confirm account ownership. Providing clear and accurate details can help with the verification process, but does not replace the required identity verification.
